WELLS, Maine — A Sanford man died after a crash in Wells.
Police said the single-vehicle crash happened just before noon Tuesday on Littlefield Road.
Officers said Peter Webber, 55, was traveling east toward Route 1 when his vehicle drifted off the road and hit a tree.
The impact caused the sedan to roll over back onto the road, onto its roof.
First responders tried to save the victim at the scene but were unsuccessful. The crash remains under investigation.
