Houlton 13, Sebasticook 4

At Houlton, Haven Hanning hit a two-run home run to help Houlton beat Sebasticook Valley in the District 3 tourney game.

Nolan Hodgkins notched the pitching win with eight strikeouts in 5 ⅓ innings. He helped his cause with a double and a single. Garrett Harvey chipped in with two singles.

Carter Rice recorded a double and single for Sebasticook.

D3 softball, 11-12

Lincoln 7, Bangor 6

At Hampden on Monday, Lincoln rallied from a 5-4 deficit in the top of the sixth inning to take a 7-5 lead and hold off Bangor to win the District 3 championship for ages 11-12.

In the sixth, Lincoln’s Raegan Budge drew a leadoff walk, followed by an A.J. Russell single. With one out, Bryn Weatherbee walked to load the bases and Kara Theriault hit a ground ball that plated Budge with the tying run.

Kayla Duhaime then lined a two-out double to left field, scoring Russell and Weatherbee to give Lincoln a 7-5 lead.

In the bottom of the sixth, Jenna Smith walked for Bangor and later scored on ground ball by Victoria Andrews. Andrews then stole second base to put the tying run in scoring position but Lincoln pitcher Kara Theriault ended the game with a three-pitch strikeout and inducing a groundball to second.

Theriault struck out seven.

The Lincoln offense was paced by Duhaime who had two hits, a run, and two RBIs. Theriault helped her own cause with two doubles and two RBIs. Rylee Bubar drove in two runs, and Weatherbee scored two runs.

Bangor pitcher Megan Copperthwaite struck out nine Lincoln hitters and helped her own cause with an RBI single. Rae Barron tripled, scored two runs and had two RBIs.

D1 baseball, 11-12

Ellsworth 3, Machias 1

At Beal Field in Machias on Monday, Hunter Curtis allowed just three hits in five innings and struck out 14 to lead Ellsworth to the District 1 tourney win.

Lucas Gagnon tripled and singled for Ellsworth while Curtis, Nathan Smith, Michael Palmer and Landon St. Peter each added a single.

Jack Emery, Caleb Campbell and Jayden Rhodes each singled for Machias.

Bucksport 8, Acadian 3

At Bucksport on Monday, Trey Hutchinson recorded a double and two singles to help Bucksport win the District 1 all-star game.

Aric Bray chipped in with a single and triple for Bucksport and Trey Hutchinson added two singles. Cam Rich was the winning pitcher.

Jack Hodgdon notched two singles for Acadian and Luke Horner had a double.

All-star youth baseball and softball games can be reported to the BDN via email to: bdnsports@bangordailynews.com

Coaches are required to list information for both teams, with first and last names of players. Info should include key highlights and stats for leading hitters and pitchers.

Linescores may also be included.

The game result should be emailed as soon as possible on the day it is played.

The host team is responsible for reporting games.
