GREENVILLE, Maine — A missing Massachusetts man who didn’t return home from a recent fishing trip has been located and is safe, officials reported.

Donald Jones, 68, of Shirley, Massachusetts, had come to Maine for a fishing and camping trip on June 21, according to Maine Warden Service Cpl. John MacDonald.

Jones was due to return home Sunday or Monday but did not do so, according to MacDonald.

Jones, who was believed to have been staying at the Moose Brook campsite off Route 15 in Greenville, has been located and was on his way back to Massachusetts on Wednesday, MacDonald said.

Jones’ family became worried when they did not hear from him.
