OTIS ME/FORT MYERS FL – Paul Francis Cust, 74 of Beech Hill Pond, husband of Sandra (Lear) Cust passed away June 24, 2016 unexpectedly. He was born on July 22, 1941 in Brewer the son of Francis and Loette (Gibbons) Cust.
Paul grew up in Brewer and graduated in 1960 from Brewer High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 in Vietnam.
Paul and Sandra were married in Holden on August 16, 1961 and spent the next 54 years happily enjoying life.
Paul is predeceased by his parents and brother in law Alan Lear, but leaves behind his wife, Sandra; son, Paul and his fiancé Kim; granddaughter, Bailey; sister in law Cynthia Lear of Damariscotta; brother and sister in law David and Melissa Lear of Holden; nephews, Alex Lear and Josh Lear. He also leaves behind many special friends.
Paul was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed hunting with his son.
Paul worked for UPS for 30 years until he retired and they sold their house and hit the road. He and Sandra spent many years traveling and made it to 46 states in their RV.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on July 16, 2016 from 1 – 4 at their camp on Beech Hill Pond, a place he truly enjoyed and made many lasting memories (847 West Shore Rd Otis).
