BANGOR, Maine — Police arrested two Bangor residents for drug offenses early Friday in a four-hour span, according to Sgt. Tim Cotton.
The first arrest was about 2:45 a.m. when Ashley Martinez, 22, dropped a package of oxycodone tablets in the parking area of Hollywood Casino, according to Cotton.
More than 190 tablets worth $6,000 were allegedly seized.
Martinez was charged with unlawful trafficking in Schedule W drugs and taken to Penobscot County Jail, where she remained on $50,000 cash bail.
About four hours after Martinez’s arrest, police were investigating a disorderly conduct report on Ohio Street involving Brian Thomas, 37, Cotton said.
Thomas was found to have search conditions as he was out on bail, and he fled the area while interacting with police, the sergeant said.
Thomas was located a short time later and police learned he had discarded cash and a substantial amount of crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine worth over $6,000, Cotton said.
Police did not disclose how much cash was discarded.
Thomas was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, refusing to submit to arrest and violating his bail, Cotton said.
He is being held without bail at the Penobscot County Jail.
