At Skowhegan, Kyle Stevenson and Sam Huston teamed up for three hits and three RBIs to lead Bangor’s Coffee News Comrades to a 6-1 victory over Post 16 in American Legion Zone 1 play Thursday evening.

Jesse Colford allowed one run over seven innings from the mound, surrendering five hits while striking out seven to earn the pitching win for 7-1 Coffee News.

Skowhegan’s Cody Laweryson struck out one and allowed five runs in two innings to take the loss. Coffee News then managed just one hit off Isaiah Vigue, who allowed no earned runs and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Skowhegan’s lone run came in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Adam Turcotte.
