SKOWHEGAN, Maine — A Florida man whom Somerset County sheriff’s deputies had sought the public’s help in finding has been located in Rhode Island.
Francis Phillips, 66, was located by a Somerset County deputy, with information provided by Phillips’ credit card company aiding in finding him, according to Chief Deputy James Ross.
Phillips’ family members were concerned when he didn’t make it to a family camp in Hartland on Wednesday.
Ross said Phillips did make it to the Hartland area before becoming disoriented.
Phillips was able to return by car to Rhode Island and is fine. He had flown into T.F. Green Airport in Providence and subsequently rented a car.
