CASCO BAY, Maine — Four people boating in Casco Bay were saved Saturday afternoon after their sailboat overturned in stormy weather.

Ships from the Coast Guard and Portland Fire Department made the rescue after a distress call was made around 4:20 p.m. Saturday. The boat was overturned by a strong thunderstorm off the northern tip of House Island.

All four boaters were unharmed and returned to shore, according to the Coast Guard.
