LEWISTON, Maine — Police have arrested a Lewiston man in connection with the robbery and attack on an employee at The Vault on Saturday.

Arthur Bush was charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

Interim Deputy Chief Adam Higgins wanted to thank the public for their help in catching Bush.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. at The Vault craft beer and wine store on Lisbon Street.

A store employee was severely beaten during the robbery. According to the store’s owner, the woman has since been released from the hospital.

“Aside from some wounds that are visible, she’ll be OK,” store owner Keith Tannenbaum said. “I’m sure that this was a pretty traumatic experience for her, and I think that it will probably take some time to figure out.”

“There were people in and out of the store, and there were other people here at the same time he was here, and they saw him,” Tennenbaum said. “It just seems like he was waiting and unfortunately that’s what happened.”
