SHAPLEIGH, Maine — A missing Shapleigh man with dementia was found in Guildhall, Vermont, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Jerome Fecteau, 76, was last seen around 5:45 a.m. Sunday at his home in Shapleigh in his 2001 gray four-door Ford Focus. He has dementia, and police issued a Silver Alert for Fecteau Sunday afternoon.
York County Sheriff’s Office reported around 5:30 p.m. that Fecteau was found in Guildhall, a small town on the New Hampshire-Vermont border in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Police were concerned he may have been driving to Waterville, where he used to live.
