AUGUSTA, Maine — Two people have been arrested in connection with a pair of convenience store robberies, Augusta police said Tuesday.

Abraham Matt, 30, of Augusta was arrested on July 29, while Jessica Morang, 37, of Pittston was arrested Tuesday, Deputy Chief Jared Mills said.

The duo are each facing a charge of robbery, while Abraham is also accused of being Morang’s accomplice in a June 21 robbery. Both are accused of holding up the Big Apple on Stone Street.

Mills said Morang is responsible for a June 21 robbery and Matt a June 25 robbery. In both instances, the suspects were given an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both were taken to the Kennebec County Jail following their arrests. Bail for Matt was set at $5,000 and bail for Morang was set at $2,500.
