BANGOR, Maine — In the wake of a long stretch of dry weather that isn’t expected to end anytime soon, Bangor fire officials are suspending open burning in the city.
Assistant Fire Chief Darrell Cyr said Friday no open burning will be allowed in city limits “until we get significant rain.”
“It is very, very dry out,” Cyr said.
Cyr said Bangor fire officials are erring on the side of caution in suspending open burning.
“Just be patient and hope we can get some rain,” he said.
