ISLAND FALLS, Maine — Two people escaped serious injury Thursday when a vehicle rolled over on Interstate 95 in northern Maine, state police said.
Daniel Ouellette, 49, of Frenchville apparently fell asleep at the wheel, according to a statement from state police, and lost control of his pickup truck around 5:30 p.m.
Ouellette and his passenger, Sheila Ouellette, 46, also of Frenchville, suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene, the statement said.
The pair were traveling north, and both were wearing seat belts.
The impact caused the pickup to come to rest upside down approximately 70 feet off the roadway, the statement said.
