HERMON, Maine — Bradley’s Sam Betts picked up his first win of the season in the RoadRunner division at Speedway 95 on Wednesday night after stealing the lead from Jason Hyde of Glenburn late in the event.
Hyde had been leading, but was spun sideways while overlapping a slower car. Betts, who had been following Hyde closely, took advantage and ducked under Hyde to take the lead and the win.
Following Betts across the finish line was Chris Horlieca of Glenburn in second and James Goodman Jr. of Hampden in third. Ted Ryder of Carmel finished fourth with Anthony Moore of Brewer placing fifth.
