WESTBROOK, Maine — Westbrook city leaders met with community members after pieces of paper reading “All Muslims are Terrorists should be killed” were found in a Westbrook apartment complex.

Westbrook police say they are chasing down leads but no suspect or suspects have been identified.

They met at police headquarters with members of Westbrook’s Iraqi and Muslim community.

The Westbrook Pointe apartment complex is the place where police say Adnan Fazeli, a man who became radicalized and later died fighting for the Islamic State, once called home.

Investigators say they are considering this a hate crime and taking it very seriously, but as of now they say there is no evidence that leads them to believe there is a significant threat to residents’ safety.
