FALMOUTH, Maine — A local dog who went missing early Friday morning needed a little help getting coaxed out of a drainage pipe the animal had wandered into, according to a post on the Falmouth Police Department’s Facebook page.
The dog’s human found the animal in a drainage pipe, where it was believed the dog had been for several hours, according to the Facebook post.
It took a little motivation to get the dog to emerge from the pipe. Two Falmouth police officers armed with a garden hose took position on the back end of the pipe and the dog’s human stood at the head of the pipe with treats “for the save and reward,” according to the post.
A local animal control officer arrived to assist just as the dog emerged from the pipe, the post said.
