PORTLAND, Maine — Conner Greene worked seven scoreless innings and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats shut out the Portland Sea Dogs 4-0 on Monday night in Eastern League baseball action at Hadlock Field.

Greene (W, 5-5) matched a career-high with seven innings pitched and allowed just three hits while walking two and striking out one.

The Fisher Cats got on the board in the second inning with a two-out, two-run triple by Derrick Loveless off of Teddy Stankiewicz (L, 4-9).

Dwight Smith Jr. added to the lead with a solo homer into the U.S. Cellular Pavilion in the fifth off of Stankiewicz.

Stankiewicz allowed three runs on four hits in six innings while walking three and striking out six.

Ryan Lavarnway added a solo homer off of Brandon Workman in the top of the ninth to pad the Fisher Cats lead.

Workman made his second relief appearance with Portland, Boston’s Double-A affiliate, on a major league rehab assignment and worked three innings, allowing a run on two hits while striking out two.

Murphy Smith earned his second save with two scoreless innings of relief.
