AUGUSTA, Maine — A Wayne man has been summonsed after allegedly exposing himself at about 7:45 p.m. Aug. 18 at the East Side Port Landing Park, according to Augusta police.

Wayne Smith, 65, was charged with indecent conduct, a Class E crime, Maj. Jared Mills said Friday in a press release.

Children were in the park area when Smith allegedly exposed himself.

Smith was located and interviewed Thursday, when he was issued a summons, according to police.

If convicted, Smith faces up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
