HARPSWELL, Maine — A Massachusetts man suffered serious leg injuries when he failed to negotiate a curve on Harpswell Neck Road and struck a tree at about 5:20 p.m. Thursday, according to the Cumberland County sheriff’s office.
Eric Finnerty, 26, of Milton, Massachusetts, was driving a 2013 Nissan Versa at a high rate of speed and arguing with passenger April Roseboro, 20, of Brunswick when he left the road in the area of 1327 Harpswell Neck Road, according to a news release issued Friday.
Finnerty was brought to Maine Medical Center in Portland, the sheriff’s office said. Roseboro was brought to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with minor injuries.
Finnerty’s car was demolished, according to the release.
