PITTSBURGH — Marie-Laurence Montagne had a goal plus an assist while Sherifatu Sumaila and Catherine Bruno each scored to lead the Bengals to a 3-1 women’s soccer victory over Point Park University on Wednesday afternoon.
UMFK outshot the Pioneers 18-5.

UNE 4, Husson 0
At Biddeford, the host Nor’Easters scored three first-half goals in defeating Husson.
Taylor Littlefield Langevin, Jessica Meader, Ashley Sherman and Edie Pallozzi scored the goals for UNE (2-0) while Brielle Robinson recorded three saves.
Kayla Gordon had 15 saves for Husson (0-1).
USM 4, UM-Farmington 1
At Farmington, Ally Little scored 47 seconds into the game, giving the Huskies the impetus for the win.
Jessica Preble, Analies Ross-Dyjak and Dayna Staffiere also notched goals for the University of Southern Maine of Gorham (2-1). Taylor Canastra made 10 saves.
Hadlee Yescott scored the goal for 0-2 UMF. Mikayla Cameron posted three saves
Men’s Soccer
Gordon 7, Maine Maritime 2
At Wenham, Massachusetts, David Corchran’s two goals led Gordon College past Maine Maritime Academy of Castine.
The Scots wound up scoring five times in the final 29 minutes of the first half to take a 7-1 halftime lead.
Andrew King and Mason Whitaker had the goals for the Mariners. Josh Reeks recorded 16 saves.
Bates 3, UM-Farmington 0
At Lewiston, Eric Opoku scored his first two college goals and Peabo Knoth provided two assists as the Bobcats blanked the Beavers.
Nate Merchant scored the other goal for Bates (1-0) and Robbie Montanaro got the shutout by making one save.
Matt Wilson had three saves for the University of Maine-Farmington (1-1).
