MACHIAS — The University of Maine-Fort Kent Bengals scored five first-half goals en route to an 8-0 men’s college soccer victory over the UMaine-Machias Clippers Monday.
Ben Kluvers had two goals while Tom Coxon, Rodney Witter, Keano Williams, Kalusha Kotes, Carlos Crusat-Lopez and Kyle Robbins added one for UMFK,
Romario Romain and Butch Forbes combined to make four saves for the Bengals.

UNE 3, Colby 0
At Biddeford, Vonde Saunders and Kersey Boulay accounted for three first-half goals as the University of New England recorded a win over Colby.
The Nor’easters (4-1) ended a four-game skid against the Mules (1-2) with the result. Each of the last two seasons, Colby had edged UNE by a goal.
Big Blue came out strong and Saunders converted the team’s fifth shot less than six minutes into the contest to establish the lead.
Holly Smith finished with eight stops to preserve her second straight shutout for the Nor’easters. For Colby, Riley Whitmyer and Emily Buckman each logged 35 minutes in goal, combining for five saves.
