LISBON, Maine — Lisbon police on Sunday arrested a 38-year-old woman about eight hours after she allegedly stabbed another woman in the parking lot at Farwell Mills Apartments on Lisbon Street.

Lindsay Knight was charged with aggravated assault and released on $500 cash bail, according to a news release from Lisbon Police Chief Marc Hagan.

The stabbing was reported about 2 a.m., Hagan said. Officers went to the parking lot and located two people — a man and a woman — allegedly involved in the incident.

The third person, a 32-year-old woman who lives nearby, was located at her home about 6:30 a.m., Hagan said.

Hagan said that while the woman did have wounds consistent with being stabbed, she declined medical attention.

The condition of the victim was not available on Sunday.

Police recovered the alleged weapon. No additional information was available Sunday.

Knight is scheduled to appear in Androscoggin County Superior Court on Dec. 7.

The incident remains under investigation. Lisbon police ask anyone who witnessed the stabbing to call Sgt. Harry Moore at 353-2500.
