FREEPORT, Maine — Interstate 295 was closed just before 5 p.m. Wednesday after a serious crash in the northbound lanes apparently involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Cars were detoured onto Route 1 in Yarmouth, which slowed to a crawl as well.
Multiple injuries were reported, according to a Maine State Police dispatcher. Brunswick police said the crash, near mile 17, apparently involved a motorcycle and another vehicle, from which at least one person was ejected. Ambulances from several communities arrived to assist.
Maine State Police were still at the scene at about 6 p.m.
