CASCO, Maine — A corrections officer at the Cumberland County Jail had his truck stolen overnight Tuesday, along with his uniform and badge, which were inside.

The officer, who police did not identify, left his blue 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck unlocked in his driveway in Casco, according to a release from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. He found his truck was missing Wednesday morning.

Cumberland County deputies received several other reports about vehicle burglaries in the area, including one in which a Glock .40-caliber handgun was stolen.

The sheriff’s office believes whoever broke into the vehicles also stole the officer’s truck.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about any of the thefts to contact them at 893-2810.
