NAPLES, Maine — A 12-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly posting a clown-related threat on Facebook.
Deputies stepped up patrols in Naples Thursday, after a Facebook account named Jingles Deklown posted, “lake region high school is my next stop october 6th at 12:45 in back parking lot i’ll be waiting.”
Officials say a 12-year-old boy, who is a student at the middle school, is behind the post.
He’s charged with terrorizing.
