STONY BROOK, New York — Allyson Baner scored off a Hannah Groth corner kick nine minutes into the match to lead Stony Brook to a 2-0 women’s soccer win over the University of Maine Thursday.

Priscilla Wiggins put it away with a goal late in the second half for the 7-2-1 Seawolves. Amy Thompson picked up the assist on Wiggins’ goal. Cara Callagher saved both UMaine shots.

Samantha Cobotic came up with three saves on five shots for the Black Bears, who have lost three straight and fall to 6-7.
