ALFRED, Maine — A local woman was killed Thursday morning when her car hit a tree in Alfred, according to state police.
The crash took place just before 7:30 a.m. on Whichers Mills Road, said Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland. April Robinson, 52, was the only occupant of the car. Trooper Ben Smith said there is no apparent cause for why the car left the road.
