BANGOR, Maine — With two major events set for this evening, the management at the Cross Insurance Center is advising attendees to leave extra time to arrive and find parking.
Between the two, the “I Love the 90s Tour” concert in the arena and the Maine State Chamber of Commerce annual meeting in the convention center are expected to draw roughly 7,000 people to the venue.
To that end, officials from Spectra Venue Management, managers of the Cross Insurance Center, are informing the public and its patrons that it is possible they may experience traffic flow issues and congestion when arriving and parking. When possible, people heading to the events should use Interstate 395 to avoid some of the congestion of downtown.
There will be limited day-of paid parking available in the Cross Insurance Center lots off Buck Street and Bass Park Boulevard as well as complimentary parking in the upper track parking lot.
All Cross Insurance Center parking lots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Those who can should seek alternative parking in Bangor’s downtown, carpool or use other forms of arrival, such as taxis.
Those attending the concert should enter through the upper Southwest Entrance of the venue and those coming to the chamber function should enter through the Rotunda Entrance on the corner of Buck and Main streets.
