ST. AGATHA, Maine — The Maine State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash involving a Sinclair man found at the scene who claimed he was not the driver and that four other people — including the driver — had fled the site.

The crash happened on Cleveland Road shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday when a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck left the roadway and struck a utility pole, Sgt. Josh Haines said Sunday in a news release. Joshua Daigle, 23, who suffered minor injuries, was at the scene when police arrived.

The truck, which was registered to Daigle, was disabled and had to be towed from the scene, Haines said.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Trooper Matt Curtin at 532-5400.
