DAMARISCOTTA, Maine — Emergency personnel were at the scene of a fatal crash involving two large trucks on Route 1 in Damariscotta, near the intersection with Main Street, on Monday. One of the trucks was on its side in the Route 1 median.
The Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service, Damariscotta Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and the Damariscotta Fire Department were at the crash site.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a crash reconstruction. The Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement unit will also conduct an investigation.
Lincoln County Communications dispatched crews to the crash at 9:46 a.m.
