The awards just keep on pouring in for the Skowhegan Area High School field hockey program.

On Monday, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced that two Indians had earned all-region honors among players from northern New England.

The honorees were junior Haley Carter and sophomore Maliea Kelso.

The two Skowhegan players were two of only three players from Maine included on the list. They are joined by Marshwood of South Berwick senior Hannah Costin.

Thirteen players from northern New England were selected.

Carter and Kelso helped lead coach Paula Doughty’s club to the program’s 17th Class A state championship this fall. Kelso scored a goal in the Indians’ 2-1 state championship win over Massabesic of Waterboro.

In addition, Doughty picked up her 500th victory this season.
