AUBURN, Maine — The Auburn man who was hit while crossing the road to get his paper has died.
Robert Burns, 81, was hit last weekend while crossing Hotel Road.
Burns died Wednesday. He suffered a fractured skull and was placed in a medically induced coma.
Burns was hit by a Ford Explorer driven by Tyler Todd, 37, of Farmington Falls.
The crash remains under investigation.
