Maine basketball tournament time is almost here and to help fans get ready in the postseason mood, the Bangor Daily News will be live-streaming some late-season games produced by SportsNet Maine.
The first comes Thursday night when the Brewer Witches play host to Cony of Augusta at Brewer High School. Tip time is 7 p.m. and the game can be seen at bangordailynews.com. Jim Churchill of SportsNet Maine and the BDN’s Ernie Clark will call the action.
Brewer and Cony are jockeying for position in the Class A North Heal Point standings. The Witches (6-9) of coach Ben Goodwin go into the contest ranked eighth, while coach T.J. Maine’s Rams (6-8) occupy the No. 9 position.
Cony won the first meeting at Augusta, a 69-63 decision on Dec. 9.
Last fall, the Bangor Daily News and SportsNet Maine were proud to partner to broadcast live Maine high school football. The Game of the Week, presented by Quirk Auto Group, was available on your phone, tablet or desktop computer at bangordailynews.com/gameoftheweek.
