WISCASSET, Maine — A Jefferson man sought by police following a domestic dispute on Saturday morning was arrested Tuesday after turning himself in at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Wayne Little, 27, was charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence criminal threatening and obstructing report of a crime, according to a release from Lt. Michael Murphy of the sheriff’s office.

Deputies went Saturday to a Jefferson home for a report of a domestic disturbance and found that Little had fled prior to their arrival. A search with a police tracking dog led to a road, and deputies believed Little had been picked up by a passing car.

Murphy said Tuesday that the alleged victim, a 22-year-old woman, did not require immediate medical attention.

A post Sunday on the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page that officials believed Little might be armed with a handgun.

Little remained at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on Tuesday afternoon, held without bail pending a court appearance.
