Reporting Guidelines

Coaches and managers responsible for reporting youth baseball and softball games to the BDN should follow these guidelines to help us ensure consistency and fairness. Reports should include: The level of baseball or softball (ie. Little League, Minor League), the city or town where the game was played, the final score, top hitters for both teams and the winning pitcher. Due to space considerations, we limit hitters to no more than four repeat hitters per team. If there are none with more than one hit, players with an extra-base hit may be listed. If there are only singles, up to four players may be listed. The winning pitcher’s name name may be accompanied by key statistics such as the number of hits allowed and strikeouts recorded. We appreciate your help in helping simplify the reporting process.
