LEWISTON, Maine — A tractor-trailer ran over a man who was sleeping under the trailer early Thursday morning, according to police.
Christopher Powell, 42, was sleeping underneath the trailer.
The driver, 61 year-old Michael Coulumbe, was leaving LePage Bakery on Park Street when he heard screams. He stopped the truck and found Powell under it, according to police.
Police said it’s possible Powell, who’s from Arizona, is a transient, which is why he was under the tractor-trailer.
Powell was taken to a nearby hospital.
Coulumbe will not be charged.
