The Maine Warden Service is investigating a fatality on Damariscotta Lake in Jefferson on Sunday.

The deceased, an adult male, fell out of a disabled boat while it was being towed by another boat, according to Maine Warden Service Sgt. Terry Hughes.

The identity of the man and further details of the incident were not immediately available. The Warden Service was expected to release more information Monday morning.

The Lincoln County Communications Center dispatched emergency services to the public boat ramp off Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson at 4:23 p.m. for a report of a boat en route to the ramp with “CPR in progress” on a passenger.

The Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service, Jefferson Fire and Rescue, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the Maine Warden Service and Waldoboro Emergency Medical Services responded to the ramp to meet the boat.
