The pilot of a small Cessna that crashed into Brandy Pond in Naples on Sunday afternoon was not injured, according to police.
The crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. and no other passengers were aboard when the plane went down, Capt. Scott Stewart of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The Cessna sustained significant damage in the crash, Stewart said. He said that the crash will be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
