A bride-to-be has her engagement ring back, thanks to her fiancé, some determination and some scuba diving gear.
Evan Nadeau and Erin Helfen are getting married later this year.
About a month ago, they hiked around Gulf Hagas and went for a swim in the falls.
They went back to hiking, but after getting about a quarter of a mile up the trail, Helfen realized her ring was gone and that it must be in the bottom of the falls.
They figured it was gone, but Nadeau was determined to find it.
On his day off, he returned with a friend’s scuba gear and spent more than two hours searching the bottom of the falls. He found it.
Nadeau said he was in the water searching for so long, his knees were turning blue.
