BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University men’s basketball program has again exerted its recruiting influence in Florida.
The Eagles have announced that Corey Kaiser of Evans High School in Orlando will join the team this fall.
The 6-foot-3 point guard becomes the fourth Floridian to commit to Husson in 2017. He was a four-year varsity player for the Trojans, helping them win a district championship and make a regional finals appearance in 2016.
Last season, Kaiser led Evans in assists (7.0 per game), steals and field goal percentage (.540) while averaging 10 points per game. He captained the team to a No. 6 state ranking.
“Corey comes from a great program and basketball tradition” said Husson coach Warren Caruso in a release. “He’s a big, athletic point guard who will give us a lot of versatility at the point guard spot.”
Kaiser joins Floridians Dylan Angel of Freedom High School, Kyanti Blyden of Broward College and Cole Thomas of Master’s Academy along with Jarrod Chase of George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, Justin Thompson of Schenck High in East Millinocket and Coty Hackett from Burley High in Idaho.
