BANGOR, Maine — Ashton Kennison doubled and singled while Brayden Bean singled and drove in a run as Bessey Motors of South Paris eliminated Pastime Club 3-2 in the American Legion baseball state tournament at Husson University’s Winkin Complex on Friday.
Blake Slicer and Cameron Slicer each added a triple for Bessey Motors.
Hunter Richardson singled twice for Pastime Club.
Later Friday, Coastal Landscape of South Portland defeated Wells 10-3 in another elimination contest.
Coastal Landscape scored five runs over the first two innings en route to the win.
Logan McCarthy pace Coastal Landscaping with a double, three singles and three RBIs while Jack Lynch hit two doubles and two singles and drove in a run. Dylan Francoeur singled twice and drove in a pair of runs.
Tyler Bridge paced Wells with a double and a single and two RBIs.
