A prisoner serving time at Maine State Prison in Warren died Tuesday, officials said.
Henry E. Bishop, 74, was pronounced dead at Central Maine Medical Center at about 10:15 a.m. Bishop had served about almost a year of a three-year sentence for sexual abuse of a minor, Maine Department of Corrections officials said in a statement.
State police and the medical examiner’s office are reviewing the death per standard procedure, officials said.
At the time of his death, Henry E. Bishop, age 74, was sentenced to a 5 year sentence all but 3 years suspended and 2 years’ probation for Sexual Abuse of a Minor (C) to which he served 11 months 23 days.
