The search for a missing Enfield man, last seen on Sunday, is over and the man is safe, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Joseph Gilley, 26, was last seen at his home on Leonard Place on Sunday, and was located near his house Wednesday afternoon, according to Sheriff Troy Morton. Leonard Place is located off Old County Road North.
Chief Deputy William Birch said earlier in the day that relatives had no clue why Gilley left home.
“It’s kind of a mystery for the family,” Birch said.
After he was found, Gilley was transported to the hospital for an evaluation, Morton said.
