Portland police say a 2-year-old girl fell out of an apartment window on Oxford Street at around 7 p.m. Monday.
Police say the child fell from the first floor, which is elevated from the ground by about 12 feet.
They say she was pushing against the screen of the window when it apparently dislodged.
One adult was home at the time.
The little girl was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
