A St. Albans woman was killed Wednesday when two cars collided at an intersection, according to CBS affiliate WABI.
Madeline Nangle, 63, died of injuries she suffered in the crash after being flown by Lifeflight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Nangle’s car was stopped at an intersection on Corinna Road before she pulled into the intersection and collided with a vehicle driven by Nadia Viles, 28, of St. Albans, according to the station.
Viles and Nangle’s 7-year-old granddaughter, who was a passenger in Nangle’s car, were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.
