The Bangor Daily News and SportsNet Maine are pleased to be teaming up again this fall to broadcast live-streamed Maine high school football games on the BDN website.
The BDN/SportsNet Maine Game of the Week will be available on your phone, tablet or desktop computer at bangordailynews.com/gameoftheweek.
On Friday night, we will kick off a series of eight weekly game broadcasts featuring many of the top high school teams from around eastern Maine. Our first live-streamed contest will feature the Foxcroft Academy Ponies against their longtime Piscataquis County rivals, the Dexter Tigers, from Oakes Field in Dover-Foxcroft.
The action begins at 7 p.m. with Jim Churchill of SportsNet Maine handling the play-by-play and veteran Bangor Daily News sportswriter Ernie Clark providing the color commentary.
Follow the BDN on Facebook or Twitter, or check the bangordailynews.com/gameoftheweek web page for any updates. Use #GOTW on Twitter and Facebook to let us know you’re watching.
Next week, on Sept. 15, the SportsNet Maine team will travel to Carmichael Field in Bucksport where the Bucksport Golden Bucks battle the Mount Desert Island Trojans in a key early-season clash at 7 p.m.
