A baby seal found abandoned by its mother on Chebeague Island has been nursed to health and is ready to be released back in the wild, the Boston Globe reported.

Oh, and the seal has been given a unique name by its caretakers: Giseal Bundchen, after the world-famous supermodel Gisele — who happens to also be the wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, as the Massachusetts-based animal rescuers working with the seal undoubtedly know.

Kathy Zagzebski, executive director of the National Marine Life Center in the village of Buzzards Bay, told the Globe Giseal will be set free Tuesday on Cape Cod around 4:30 p.m.

The seal pup was brought to the center after being discovered alone on Chebeague Island in June, the Globe reported, and was raised by specialists who fed her and warded off a serious ear infection before she was deemed healthy enough to return to the wild.

Giseal will be released alongside Sealonardo DiCaprio — named after the Academy Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio, of course. Sealonardo was found in Maine as well, the Globe reported.

Zagzebski told the Globe the center picks a new theme each year for naming its seals, and for the last two seasons, the theme has been “seal-ebrities.”

Zagzebski told the Globe seal mothers can abandon pups for a number of reasons. The mothers might be scared off by people near the pups, for instance, she said.

The release of the two Maine seals will be broadcast live through the center’s Facebook page, she said.
