On Friday, a website called the Blast published what it says is a four-year-old video of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones telling a racially charged joke at a Dallas hotel. In the video, Jones was asked to offer his congratulations to a couple who either were recently were engaged or married.

“Jennifer, congratulations on the wedding. Now, you know he’s with a black girl tonight, don’t you?” Jones says in the video before walking away, laughing. According to the Blast, the people he was addressing were white.

On Saturday, Jones expressed regret for the joke in a statement released by the team.

“That comment was inappropriate. It’s not who I am, and I’m sorry,” Jones said, per The Associated Press.

Jones has said that NFL players – most of them black – should stand for the national anthem instead of kneeling to protest police brutality and racial inequality.
