A Kenduskeag woman has died of injuries she suffered in a mobile home fire earlier this month.

Cheryl Bassett, 60, died Friday at Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Bassett suffered serious burns when fire leveled her mobile home on 2nd Street in Kenduskeag on Nov. 15. The fire started in the living room, but the State Fire Marshal’s Office is still trying to determine the cause. According to McCausland, the extensive damage has made it difficult.

Firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading to two nearby trailers.
