Bridgton Hospital Credit: Maine Public

A Maine hospital’s staff has voted no confidence in the CEO of their parent company amid concerns over financial cuts.

Bridgton Hospital is a part of Central Maine HealthCare, which also owns Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and Rumford Hospital. The Portland Press Herald reports CEO Jeff Brickman has been heading Central Maine since 2016.

Hospital staff voted unanimously as having no confidence in Brickman over cuts in services at their hospital.

A Central Maine HealthCare spokeswoman issued a statement acknowledging the Bridgton vote and alluding to financial challenges. Central Maine HealthCare operated with a $1.4 million deficit in 2016, according to recent tax filings.
